1. Formal Pictures Timing


Usually right after the ceremony we do the family portraits. Please give yourself enough time with that session. Sometimes it could take up to 30-40 mins depending on family size. Try not to schedule it as the same time of cocktail hour. Dedicate enough time for photos, especially after the ceremony and make sure it's not during cocktail hour because that can cause delays.

2. Getting ready


Sometimes, getting ready on the wedding day can take longer than expected—especially when it comes to bridesmaids. With hair, makeup, and last-minute adjustments, even the best-planned timelines can run behind. It’s always a good idea to build in a little extra time so everyone feels relaxed and the day flows smoothly.

3. Clear arrival time


Late Arrivals: People being late or in the wrong place, whether it's the bridal party or specific family members for photos, can throw off the timeline. Please make sure it's very clear where everybody needs to be and exactly what time. Ask for everybody to be on time.

4. Travel Time


Underestimated Travel Time: Travel between venues or even short trips like heading to a nearby park for portraits can take longer than expected, particularly with larger groups or during busy times.

5. Buffer Time


Lack of Buffer Time: Not building in extra time for unexpected delays during the timeline. Try to have buffer time (at least 30 mins) after each event through out the day.

6. Vendor Communication


Ineffective Communication: Poor communication with vendors and the wedding party regarding the schedule and expectations. I recommend create a folder in your email with subcategories with each vendor. Try to communicate only through email so everything is on place. I am not a coordinator but I can help you with creating your timeline. You just need to provide me with specific info when available. This includes 1h consultation and going over timeline and possible questions.
